Ariel is 3!

Ariel's birthday is on Thursday, but we had her party today.  Sunday afternoon seems to be the best time to get everyone together.
We decided to have a rainbow theme this year.
I made her rainbow and cloud banner out of tulle.  I used my cricut to make the letters.  It was a little hard to get a good picture against the window.  It looked better than the picture shows.

I made rainbow cheesecakes with coolwhip clouds.  While making these I realized that I wouldn't have very many so I had to come up with something else.  I had seen a cute rainbow cake on pinterest so I just used that for inspiration.  I cut my round cake, frosted it, and created a rainbow with rainbow licorice.

I had a hard time coming up with present ideas for Ariel.  We already have so many toys and she really isn't into anything.  She does love to climb and be busy so I thought maybe a bigger toy would be best.  We decided to get her the Step2 Lookout Tower.  It was a hit!

We will still celebrate her birthday on Thursday.  I have a couple small presnets for her to open and Annabelle suggested letting her choose what we do all day.  This is her Golden Birthday, but I am going to re-celebrate when she is 13 so she will remember it a bit more.

I cannot believe my little LoLo is 3 years old.  She is such silly, independent, loving little sweetie girl.  She makes us laugh with her jokes and silly things.  She loves to cuddle and be held.  My favorite thing that she said to me this year was, "I love you more than so much.  I love you lots."
Ariel, we love you more than so much too!

Annual Gardening

My grandpa told us that this week would be a great week to come and do some planting.  We went on Wednesday, which was a beautiful day.
The girls and grandpa planted some sugar peas.
They also played in the dirt and picked tulips (the benefits of being the great grandkids)
