Curly Sue

Annabelle has curly hair.  We usually just brush it out and it goes back curly, but is a bit fluffy.  Yesterday we were just hanging out so we decided to try some mousse in her hair.

We got her hair wet

Combed it out

Added the mousse

Flipped

Scrunched

Let it dry outside

She loves her hair

It got curlier as it dried more.
It was also easier to comb through the next day.
The mousse seemed to help it not snarle so much.

Little Helpers

Today was the perfect day to wash our van.  The girls were very good at soaping it up.

Love

Lovin' the Outdoors

We are loving this weather.  The girls love to play outside.  They really love nature - especially collecting it.  We have a lot of landscape rocks at our house and it is a favorite activity to find the prettiest, shiniest ones.

My Grandpa came over today to plant some tomato plants for me and the girls had to get in on the action.

Miss Independent

This past weekend Ariel had tons of goop coming out of her eye.  I figured it would just go away (I'm not one to run to the doctor very often), but after 4 days it was still going strong.  I called up my uncle and he checked it out and gave us some drops for her.

I figured it would be a bit difficult to get them in her eye, but I did not plan on this happening.

Step 1:  Open the drops

Step 2:  Put bottle in eye

Step 3:  Squeeze (all by herself)

Step 4: Put the cover back on

She has successfully given herself drops 3 times and is waiting to do her night time ones.
I was imagining haveto hold her down and pull her eye and then comfort her crying.  This is a much easier way to go.

Captain Sundae

We went to Captain Sundae last night for the first time this season.

Ariel had to mooch from us because we didn't get her her own.

Annabelle really enjoyed her chocolate ice cream!  We are always amazed with how much ice cream (really all food) lands on the outside of the mouth.

Right now

This is what my girls are doing right now.

A little while ago our TV/VCR combo stopped working.  It was a pretty sad day for the girls.  We have quite a few videos that they couldn't watch.
Every once in awhile I would check craigslist for VCRs.  There really aren't that many out there.
And then the other day I saw a TV/VCR for only $10.  I e-mailed them and it was ours!!!
We went to pick it up this afternoon and now after dinner and a tubby the girls are settled in watching Peter Pan.
You gotta love:
craigslist
a tv and a vcr for $10
a quiet and relaxing evening
